Cougar Excurison

What is Cougar Excursion?

The College of Charleston is well known for fostering strong connections between current and incoming students—an initiative that promotes higher retention and engagement.

As part of this mission, I helped facilitate group discussions around identity, including culture, religion, sexuality, and gender.

These conversations took place during a transformative three-day, two-night excursion at Camp St. Christopher in South Carolina, designed to help new students feel more confident in who they are and more comfortable entering the college environment.the adventure.

What was my role?

As Media Director, I was responsible for capturing the essence of each excursion through photography and videography, while also helping to lead meaningful conversations with students.

I edited all photos using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, and produced a highlight video to showcase the camp experience. In addition to visual storytelling, I created digital media—such as posters and flyers—using tools like Canva and Adobe Express.

I managed our social media presence, especially on Instagram, to promote the program and inspire future students to join.
